Things you Need to Know about Taskbar in Windows

The Taskbar located at the bottom of the screen, it is a component of the operating system. It allows you to check the date and time and running software in the background through the notification area and also allows to launch programs through the start button or view any currently open program. Microsoft introduced it with Windows 95 and kept it continue in all the version of Windows. However, it has changed with every version of windows.

The taskbar has four main sections:

  1. It allows launching an application with a single click,
  2. You can easily access to running programs,
  3. It labeled with Start and the Windows logo,
  4. It contains icons for small running programs such as the clock, calendar, volume control, and internet connection.

Can I Hide The Taskbar?

As we know that taskbar is a handy tool in Windows, But you don’t want to see it all the time on your screen. It disturbs you mainly when you see a video on full-screen. You can easily hide it and here the different method to hide the taskbar in Windows 7/8 and Windows 10. Auto-hiding the taskbar can be a great way to add a little extra space to your computer. Sometimes there is a problem that in Windows 10 taskbar is not working.. This is minor issure that is caused just because of setting misconfiguration in your pc.

Hide The Windows 10’s Taskbar

You can make the taskbar come and go as you want. Once you hide the taskbar, then it can appear again. The method of hiding the taskbar in Windows 10 is the same for computer and tablets. Follow the below-listed steps to hide the taskbar:

Step 1: In PC, You should right-click on an empty area of the taskbar, You should hold a finger on the taskbar if you are in tablet mode,

Sep 2: Click taskbar settings,

Step 3: Toggle Automatically hides the taskbar in desktop mode to on. (You can also do the same for tablet mode.)

Step 4: Now, The taskbar will be disappear

The taskbar can easily re-appear, You should move the cursor on the appropriate area of the screen to appear the taskbar. On a tablet, you can swipe up from the bottom of the screen at any time to make the taskbar re-appear.

HideThe Taskbar In Windows 7 & Windows 8

  • Open the Control Panel,
  • Select the taskbar,
  • Right-click on the taskbar and open taskbar properties,
  • In the Taskbar Properties window, check the box before ‘Auto-hide the taskbar’ and tap OK on the bottom,
  • Now, The taskbar Will disappear.

You can easily find the taskbar again, You should unselect ‘Auto-hide the taskbar’ and tap OK on the bottom, and you can place the taskbar where you want.
