Jio has revolutionized the way Indian users use the internet and telecom service. A brainchild of Mukesh Ambani, Reliance Jio Infocom Limited, popularly known as Jio has emerged to be most popular mobile network operator in India. Jio started its original journey on 27th December 2015 with the mobile telecom and internet service provider.
Jio Gigafiber FTTH ( Fiber to the Home )
Recently on July 5th, 2020, an Annual General Meeting of Reliance Industries Limited was held. There, a new subsidy broadband service of Jio called Giga fiber was announced. Also known as Reliance Giga Fibre, this service is basically Reliance’s FTTH or Fibre to the Home Broadband service.
Jio Fiber Launch Date
The Jio Fiber Registration has started from August 15th of 2020. The service is currently running on the preview basis, and the users are selective ones who will give constant updates about its service and features to Jio.
Jio, in turn, will take down those feedbacks and continuously improvise before it is commercially made available to all over India.
The reports confirmed that Jio Broadband launch date commercially would be only after Diwali. That makes the expected date of arrival around the month of November.
Jio Giga Fiber Broadband Registration Process
However, since the registration of Jio Fibre service had already begun from 15th August, you can efficiently proceed with the steps of registration. Registering early will ensure that you will get the benefits of Giga fiber much before than other users giving you a chance to enjoy the super fast fiber broadband technology at an affordable price. To go for jio broadband apply you need to follow the following steps:
- Log into the jio fiber website gigafiber.jio.com.
- Here you will find dialogue boxes where you need to give your address and the location where you want to install the FTTP broadband service. You will get some options to choose if your address is the home address, work address, relative’s address or other.
- You need to enter the correct address with the correct pin code very carefully. After entering the address correctly, Jio will ask you to put your name and your contact number. It must be a mobile number. An OTP will be sent to your mobile number to verify. Your contact number does not necessarily need to be a Jio connection and could be from any operator.
- After entering the OTP correctly, click on the option ‘Submit.’ After clicking on Submit option, Jio will verify if you are applying on behalf of your town or RWA which is optional. Your initial registration process is completed.

Speculated Plans and Preview Offer
The Jio Fiber register is totally free of cost. However, this is an initial registration process. After the commercial launch, Jio Gigafiber connection will be launched in your area only after more and more people from your neighborhood shows interest. Jio will also need approval from your locality and RWA to establish the FTTP service at your home.
Though there have been no official confirmations regarding the exact jio fiber price plans, yet speculative plans and their ranges are already buzzing in the market. Telecom pundits are of the opinion that FTTH service tariff plans of Jio will start from Rs.500. Apart from Rs. 500; there will be Rs. 750, Rs.999, Rs. 1299 and Rs. 1500 plans.
Jio Fibre has been launched as the preview service in cities like Pune and Mumbai giving ultra high-speed internet of 100Mbps for 90 days. They are also providing 100 GB extra complimentary fo9r exclusive access to all the Jio premium apps.
